This photo is unusual in being the only one in the entire Boyles football collection (at the State Library of Victoria) displaying a member of the female gender. One woman hoisting the flag and another group of females in the grandstand. Unidentified grandstand.

I can find references to the Victorian Sub-district Football League, but not the Southern Districts. Also the Sub Districts League included teams such as Fitzroy and East Brunswick which were close to Boyles residence.
