Not Richmond. Cannot recognise team or grandstand. Essendon/Coburg-type jumpers. Probably Victorian country team. Eleven officials and two trainers. Very small crowd. White shorts.

See 122_091 - Unidentified women raising VSDFL premiers flag 1943
Note that same grandstand as VSDL raising flag photo
Note that the crowd appears to be the same. The Ladies in the grandstand appear to be the same in both photos. I.e Two ladies in black at the front, one with a feather in her hat. A younger lady behind them.
Probably the sub district league 1943 premiers on a training night in early 1944 where the 1943 Premiership flag is raised.
In 1943 the Sub District League appears to have consisted of five teams. I have recorded the Home grounds of each team from the League Umpire postings in the Argus. The number following the ground is the count of the references found.
- Abbotsford (Ramsden Reserve x2)
- East Brunswick (Fleming Park x4)
- Fitzroy (Ryder Oval x1, Ransford Oval x4)
- Parkside (Pitcher Park x4)
- Richmond (Richmond City Reserve x2)
Considering the same players appear in another photo taken at Brunswick Street Oval, Fitzroy, it would suggest that this is the Fitzroy Sub Districts team 1943.
Nine of the players and officials appear in photo 122_048
