1950'S CROP OFNEW LEAGUE PLAYERS LOOKS GOOD Says Percy Taylor

Argus 2-Sep-1950 p10-11 Weekend Magazine

BRIAN MARTYN, only 19 years, is one of North Melbourne's bright hopes for the future. He is a district boy, and already stands 6ft. 3in. Ile did well in the nick for the seconds last year, and, despite his age, almost forced his way into the semi-final round. He has had a few senior games this season, and has shown great promise as a ruck man. He has strength and height, is well balanced, and is a delightful kick.
