Comment

"Norm" Ford, a westralian, played in the W.A. Carnival team in 1921, half back, and was one of the best, and now plays for Footscray" -Kalgoorlie Miner 22-Jun-1923 p6

"Footscray’s subsequent performance in league ranks was compromised on entry when
three key players were debarred from playing because they had previously crossed to the
association without obtaining clearances from their league clubs. The players were, champion rover Alex Eason, centre half-back, Norman Ford, and centre half-forward, Jack O’Brien" - Dale James Blair The 1924 Championship Game:Did the Dons play dead?, ASSH Bulletin No. 30 June 1999 p6
