Who's Who In Football—No. 7

Rosewarne Waited On St. Kilda's Doorstep! By BRUCE ANDREW
ST. KILDA officials did not have to travel far to find a ready-made footballer. Keith Rosewarne was virtually waiting on their doorstep. He was born in Prahran and has been a one-eyed St. Kilda barracker since he first found his way to the St. Kilda ground.

LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS OF 1950 —ROVERS

The Argus 29-Apr-1950 P7

KEITH ROSEWARNE had a phenomenal rise in football, going direct from the St. Kilda thirds to the senior team in 1946. Since that time he has played 59 games and kicked 96 goals. He is a clever type of dashing rover, and kicks goals with accurate snaps. He is not heavy enough to play the hustling game, so he relies on dash and elusive tactics. His play gained him selection in the carnival team in Hobart in 1947. He played for Victoria again last season.

One of the best liked boys in the club, Rosewarne takes a keen interest in its affairs. He is the players' representative on the senior commit- tee, and puts their points of view with clarity and in a pleasant way. Because of his personality, his views carry considerable weight.

Keith is one of the hard workers on the social committee, too. He realises how much that committee has done for the players in the way of providing amenities and entertainments.

He is also a keen cricketer, playing with the St. Kilda seconds. Keith is married and has one child, only a few weeks old. He and Jim Ross, the talented ruckman, are working together on a special machine used for surfacing floors. He was a lance-corporal during the war.
