LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS OF 1950 — RUCKMEN by Percy Taylor

Argus 22 April 1950 p.3 The Argus Weekend Magazine

JIM ROSS, who came to St. Kilda in 1946, has developed rapidly as a follower, and, even against taller opponents, has given great displays. Indeed, if he were a couple of inches taller than his 6ft., he would be an absolute star. He makes up for his lack of inches by his pace and determination. He is a good kick, has a safe pair of hands, is only 22, and, with greater experience, he should go a long way in the game. He has already played for Victoria. He graduated from the thirds in 1946, and has played in 59 games. The only game he missed last year was when he represented Victoria in the State game in Adelaide.
