LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS OF 1950-WING MEN By PERCY TAYLOR
IT WAS a big ordeal for FELIX RUSSO to play his first senior game this year against «h a star team as Carlton, but Felix delighted St. Kilda fans with his form m that game, which his team won so well. He is taller and stronger than the usual wing man, but is splendidly balanced and is fast. He also marks well, and is a powerful kick.
Now aged 23 years, Felix first played with De La Salle College, and later played with Footscray Technical School Old Boys. As he lives in Elwood, however, St. Kilda had the first call on his services, and be looks as if he will be a most useful member of the side for a long time.
One is not surprised to find that Felix is an instructor in physical culture by profession. He certainly looks a good advertisement for his work. So far as sport in the summer is concerned he plays, a good brand of competition tennis with Elwood.
