LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS OF 1950 - -WING HALF - FORWARDS By PERCY TAYLOR
Argus 8-Jul-1950 p12 The Argus Week-End Magazine
DON FURNESS, who played two games for Fitzroy last season, came originally from the Preston District Junior Association, but has always been a Fitzroy boy. He graduated from the thirds and seconds to senior ranks. He is a beautiful left-foot kick and an average mark. Rugged and determined, he plays at wing half-forward in the typical style of a half-back flanker. He is single, and plays a little cricket in the summertime.
